AGROECO Final Meeting – Sassari, Italy
Between 29–31 October 2025, the consortium of the AGROECO – Empowering Rural Youth through Agroecological Entrepreneurship project came together in Sassari, Italy, for the Final Evaluation Meeting — marking the official closure of this 2-year Erasmus+ Capacity Building journey.
This gathering was an important moment to reflect on everything accomplished across Finland, Italy, Egypt, and Morocco — and to analyse how our collective work has contributed to empowering rural youth with green knowledge, sustainable entrepreneurship skills, and environmental awareness.
Finland was represented by:
Omar Jama – expert in youth & sports development, and former Somali Athletics official
Aqadir Ahmed Warsame – community development and youth worker
Together, they contributed to the discussions on sustainability, follow-up opportunities, and continuation of green youth empowerment initiatives beyond the project lifecycle.
Meeting Highlights:
Presentation of project outcomes and final results
Reflection on youth mobility impact (Egypt & Morocco)
Review of dissemination actions — including the Multiplier Event held in Helsinki
Planning of long-term cooperation and future collaborations
A special appreciation
We would like to express our special gratitude to Mine Vaganti NGO for hosting this final meeting in Sassari and for their exceptional coordination support, hospitality, and partnership spirit throughout the implementation of AGROECO. 💚
This project has shown the power of cooperation between Europe and the Southern Mediterranean — and we are committed to continuing this journey towards greener, more sustainable futures for young people.
